Blue Dream Tattoo Studio
Created by tattoo artists Heidi Furey and Poonos.
Heidi Furey
With over 11 years of experience, Heidi specialises in large-scale blackwork tattoos designed to fit and flow naturally with the body. Her work focuses heavily on enhancing the body’s natural shape through movement, placement, and composition — creating pieces that work with the curves and structure of the body to help clients feel more confident, comfortable, and connected to themselves.
Specialising in ornamental florals, botanical designs, and nature-inspired blackwork, Heidi’s style combines bold linework, delicate shading, and strong black contrast to create tattoos with depth, balance, and longevity. A large part of her work includes blast overs and cover-ups, using heavy blackwork and large-scale floral composition to transform existing tattoos into something clients can feel proud of again.
Poonos
Poonos is a multi-award-winning tattoo artist with over 10 years of experience, spending the last 8 years specialising in geometric, dotwork and blackwork tattooing. His main focus is large-scale work, creating custom sleeves, legs, backs and torso pieces that are designed to flow naturally with the body.
Whether it’s working on a fresh, clean canvas or reworking existing tattoos, Poonos enjoys taking on projects that others often shy away from. Blastovers have become a huge part of his work, giving clients who have fallen out of love with their tattoos the chance to wear something they’re proud of again. Rather than seeing old tattoos as a problem, he sees them as the starting point for a completely new piece, using what’s already there to create something bold, unique and built to last.
Alongside fresh custom projects, he’s become well known for his blastovers and large-scale reworks, with many clients travelling specifically for this style of tattooing.
Always looking to improve his craft, Poonos has attended multiple workshops and seminars with some of the industry’s leading artists, as well as tattooing at conventions throughout the UK and internationally. His approach has earned him multiple awards, but his biggest focus has always been creating tattoos that people are genuinely excited to wear for life.

It is preferable for clients to avoid using numbing cream, it can cause allergic reactions once pushed under the skin by needle even if a patch test is done prior on unbroken skin. Some numbing creams change the texture of the skin which does affect how well the tattoo heals overall. Tattoos can look more faded / aged from using numbing cream during the tattooing process. Numbing creams only last a couple of hours so when clients book longer sessions, it can be tougher for them to sit when the cream wears off, the body hasn’t had a gradual build up to the pain it’s experiencing so can go into shock once faced with immediate pain.
Emla is a UK recognised numbing cream which has a lower lidocane percentage (2.5%) than some Chinese numbing creams on the market often used (TKTX -22% lidocane) Emla is most advised if a client would like to use numbing cream, it doesn’t change the texture of the skin so much / doesn’t heal badly as often/ and less off a gap between numb to not numb skin so clients can still maintain getting tattooed once the Emla wears off. If a client chooses to opt for numbing cream during a session, they use it at their own risk and understand it may affect how the tattoo heals overall. -
Numbing cream needs to be applied in a thick white layer dabbed lightly onto and around the area getting tattooed 2h prior to the session Once layered on, wrap the area tightly with cling film so the numbing soaks into the skin.
After 1h, remove the cling film and reapply another layer in the same way. Rewrap it again and attend your session with it still on the skin wrapped in cling film. Your artist will remove this for you just before the session starts -
